Development of a Leader
Growing up, Shri Subhash Deshmukh was exposed to many historical developments in Maharashtra. He had seen and experienced the devastation of the 1972 drought, one of the worst in Maharashtra’s history. These hardships familiarized him with the dire problems of the people of Maharashtra, like poverty, hunger and unemployment. Bapu, as he is lovingly called, decided to confront these challenges with a campaign of constructive activities. This gave birth to the Lokmangal group in 1998, which sought to bring stability and growth to the region of Solapur.
Representing the common man
With a one-stop goal to benefit the society and the people of Maharashtra, particularly Solapur - Bapu has focused most of his activitiesin his ambit as the Member of Legislative Assembly in Maharashtra for the social good. Although, a renowned political leader, he has shaped his destiny to be remembered for his social outreach.
He has started many initiatives, that benefit the people of Solapur and has even gone out of his way on certain occasions to be a shining example of what true leadership is. As a leader, he is still remembered for his generous heart and humility. Bapu, Shri Subhash Deshmukh was MP for Solapur Constituency in the year 2004.
